Michael was soon beside my bike. I watched him suspiciously as he narrowed his eyes. The others: Marko and Paul, had looked at him. They made little biting movements with their teeth and snickered. I kept riding. But my eyes grew weary and I was tired. I looked at my bike and I realised I was slowing. I then swirved suddenly but got knocked off.
"BELLE!!!! BELLA!" Michael yelled back.
Michael took the sharpest of turns I've seen in a long time, while the others stopped curious. David looked back stunned. I was about to stand, or at least try, but there was Michael all of a sudden and he had picked me up without effort. His face anxious. Eyes searching for mine. I looked into his eyes very tired.
"Isabella, what's wrong?" He grabbed my face and I held onto his strong arms to keep myself from stumbling.
"Tired, it's like- well...I don't know but I'm tired, probably cause I haven't ate since yesterday afternoon..." I looked down to keep from looking shameful.
"You ride with me, you hear." He said demandingly. "We'll get you bike later."
I went to protest, but he flipped me over his sholder and walked over to his bike. He put me back down and had got on the bike. I flung my leg over and sat close, my legs besides his and my arms around him, one on his waist and the other on his chest. I sat closer and held on to him because I had no jacket. I realized that my arm was gashed from glass I had fell on. I pulled out a peice and tossed it. Looking back at my bike that now stood in the shadows where Marko had stood it back up. He smiled and winked as he jogged back to his bike and started it back up. Everyone began riding. I held on to Michael because they all began to go at neck-breaking speeds. We got closer to the beach, there they had stopped. I held on to Michael for dear life. Everyone stood and dismounted. David started off first down the wood stares on the hill to a big opening wear there was a cave. Everyone followed David but Michael dismounted slower. He took off his jacket and handed it to me.
"Belle?" I looked up to him and his eyes narrowed. "Cover up, your chest is showing to much. Ya know these guys are always following skirts."
I put the jacket on and stood. His arm wrapped around my waist leading me to the cave. I walked through the long tunnles till I had reached the main lobby-looking place. David was there sitting in a wheelchair. Paul playing Aerosmith had been dancing on the fountain that had a chandelier in it. I had watched Marko and Dwayne sitting down opening pizza boxes with beers and sodas scattered around this coffee table. I watched as David smiled menacingly at me.
"This was the hottest resort in Santa Carla about 85 years ago. Too bad they built it on the fault. In
1906, when the big one hit San Francisco, the ground opened up, and this place took a header right into the crack. Now it's ours."
"Nice." I nodded.
"So whats going on tonight man?" Michael asked as he kept his hand around my waist.
"Drink alittle." David smirked. Marko left to go get what appeared be a iron bottle that had red jewels around the mid part of the bottle. Marko handed it to me, and as I reached out Michael grabbed my waist.
"I'm not letting her drink anything like that tonight boys." Michael said sharply.
"Marko." David said. Marko turned on his heels and walked to David handing him the bottle. "Well then we'll make plans for getting Isabella tipsy another time."
"Well damn man!" Paul shook his head.
"You wouldn't have a chance with her anyway, Paulie!" Marko laughed. I smiled and rolled my eyes.
"Well, since we all really don't have much up the sleeves anyway, I guess we'll pick up Isabella's bike later. Have a goodnight sweetheart." David said smoothly. The boys stared at him with anxiousness after hearing him call me "sweetheart."
"Night, David." Michael said and turned me with him and walked me out of the cave into the dark midnight. The moon was high and bright. I looked at it and then to Michael.

"What is your problem? You should really not be so rude when guys offer me drinks, and what-not." I said sternly.
"You don't want that drink. Okay. Please, just get on." He said to me and he mounted his bike.
"No. Tell me why you are so uptight lately. You act as if you'll loose me at any minute." I said finally getting it. I finally caught on.
"Michael... You're Jealous...." My mouth formed a small 'o'.
"Isabella. You really make everygirl I see, a nothing. Comparing you... I would never even have a thought of it." Michael looked straight ahead.
"I hate to admit it, but I've always had a thing for you. Believe it or not." I looked down at my feet blushing. He'd always been there for me. Not as a brother, and I couldn't make out what kind of figure he had been to me.
"I thought you liked Edgar. Or Sammy."
"I don't think of Sammy that way. Edgar is in love with me. But I don't nessicarily share the same feelings. He's more of a heated moment. He's a sweet boy. But I don't think I've ever wanted or needed a 'boy'." I looked up to him.
His eyes were deep with some emotion I couldn't make clear. I swung my leg over in front of him sliding down onto him. My leg rested over his as my arms snaked around his neck. I looked at him deeply in the eyes. Why had he been so handsome and sweet. The cold air pushed against his soft brown locks of curls. His blue eyes smoldering as the moon's light radiated off of them and his shirt was decently tight to his muscles. I brushed his hair behind his right ear and leaned in.
"Am I really that important?" I turned my head and he turned to see my face.
"Isabella, you have been important to me since the day my heart began to heal from loosing my father. I thought I'd be horrid for a long time. But you changed that. You had a strong look about you, and I thought you'd be a bad kid. But you are anything but. You have a sweet undertow." He leaned down to me and pressed his lips to mine. My eyes flickered closed and I pressed more to him. His lips moved over mine slowly but with a fierce force. I parted my lips and licked his bottom lips softly. His reaction was beyond what I'd hoped for. His hand left the handle bar and wrapped around my waist and the other grabbed my face. His toung tracing the tip of mine. I felt my stomach try to turn up. Butterflies...
He pulled away and started the bike. I tried to get off to sit behind him but he pulled me down. I wrapped around his neck and flipped my hair over mine and his sholder. Nuzzling my face in his neck and staying out of his way. He bolted off and I tightend my legs on the bike and him. In less than ten minutes, driving by the boardwalk and through the town, we were home. The lights were off and Grandpa and Lucy's cars weren't there. Michael picked me up along with getting off the bike and flipped me around so I was on his back. He walked up the drive way, and up the porch, and to the door where a note was.
  'Mike,
I left to sleep over Edgar's and Allan's house. Mom is out on a date and Grandpa if having a poker night with his friends. Isabella should be home soon. See ya tomarrow.
                              Sammy~'
"Technically... I'm home first. I'm closer to the door." Michael snickered.
"Whatever!" I laughed.
We headed inside and I walked up the stares and opened the door to the bathroom. Michael was down stares in the kitchen, making something. I started the bathtub as I saw Nanook come in. I shut the door and flipped the shower switch. I undressed and hopped in the shower. Pulling the white curtain around the tub. I began to wash my hair and all over. My hair smelled like roses and vanilla. I inhaled deeply as it was in the air heavily. I heard Nanook snarl and bark loudly. I jumped out of the shower and saw the door shut completely. Nanook no where. I grabbed a red towel and rushed out the door. I ran down stares and looked into the shadows.
"Nanook? Michael... Michael!" I saw him in the shadows holding his hand with blood.
"What happened? What happened to Nanook?!" I asked anxious.
"I didn't hurt Nanook, he bit me. This is my blood, Belle." He held his hand as he shook.
"Why the fuck- I mean heck would he bite you?!" I shifted my weight holding my small towle tightly.
"He was trying to protect you." Michael stood as his face read a deep shade of shame. I turned to narrow my eyes and something caught it alright. I saw my reflection. But not Michael's.
"Mike, turn around." I said looking shocked.
He did so. Looking at his reflection. There was nothing in the mirror. No Michael.
"Michael...only vamp-..." My face shifted in shock. "I'd never think they were real! That comic was bullshit I thought."
I turned and darted up the stares and my eyes began to blur with tears in them and my lips quiver. I ran down the hall when out of no where Mike was right in front of me.
"Belle, wait!" He said trying to grab me. I slipped and fell and jumped up running around the halls. The square halls surrounding the downstaires living room.
"NO! NO! WHY?! HOW!? JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! I CAN'T TAKE THIS IN! YOU'RE DEAD!" I began to sobb and run. But he flew over to me. I screamed and fell covering my eyes with my hands and crying into them.
"ISABELLS! PLEASE! ISSA! LOOK AT ME! I'M NOT A MONSTER, I- PLEASE, YOU DON'T KNOW HOW HARD I'M HURTING RIGHT NOW! PLEASE BELLA, I CARE ABOUT YOU SO MUCH! DON'T CRY!" Michael coaxed me. He hand gently tugging my forearms.
"NO! OF ALL PEOPLE! WHY YOU! NOT YOU MICHAEL!!!!" I removed my hands and whimpered. I looked away from the floor to his eyes. They were hurt and worried and one tear had fallen.
He wrapped his arms around me. I molded against him. Hoping I'd hear his heart. And I did. He wasn't a vampire completely. He rocked me in his arms before picking me up and gliding across the wood floors to his room. I let my tears stop falling, but let the others just trail my face onto his sholder. I was placed on his bed and he knelt on the floor next to the bed. I layed back.
"Why?"
"Because of that drink."
"That's why you didn't have me drink it." I stated.
"Yes. Because..."
"Come on, say it. I need my sleep." I turned my head and my eyes began to shut.
"Because, inside of me, I realised that loosing you like I lost myself, would kill me. I think it's because I-"
Everything drained from me. Hearing, vision, and I was knocked out cold. Tired and sleepy.
Tada!
